In the Twin cities west metro no variants east metro very limited. The regular is also so scarce they are selling it by the bottle believe me Chicago is not the only ones who got screwed.

Meanwhile, in other threads, there are people "aging" their '13 BCS Coffee because its "too coffee forward." Breaks my heart.

Why would you buy a coffee stout if you don't like the taste of coffee in your stouts??? ...whyyyyyyyy.... :flushed:

I was in the suburbs at my girls place on friday, and the binnys we went to (DP) didnt even get coffee so no chance there. Then, on our wait to Jo-anns, we passed a teddys so I had my girl stop and they handed me a 25$ gift card when I walked in (the 3 ppl I was with also got one) which was awesome. I was then told they were out of everything but the reg, even though they had a little display set up with a 4 pack of coffee, 4 pack of barleywine and both bombers. The guy even said they would sell them "eventually" but not today, so that was kind of weak but we all walked out with a 4 pack of bcbs for 1.50 after taxes so that was awesome. Only other Liquor store I went to friday was a dinky little shop in bucktown friday night to get something for a friend and they had two 4packs of coffee, awesome. Then I look down at the 4 pack in my hand with a price tag marked at 46.99 and covering up a previous pricetage, I laugh and put it back, all while the clerk is standing there watching me. No thanks.

It does seem coffee was a lot harder to get this year in chicago, but it definitely wasn't hard to get just about as much bcbs as you want (or can afford lol) plus a variant or two.

Do not know that demand is that much lower here.... Even here in La Crosse we got so little that there was a 1 bottle limit of both regular and coffee! I was only able to get a 4 pack of the regular and 2 of the Coffee due to the fact that I go into the store way to much and am special:rolling_eyes:

With that said I think they got 3 cases!?!? of the regular and 2 of the Coffee...... Last year I could buy 4 packs of the regular for a good 2 months there was so much around here, I am not happy with how it happened this year.

I hope it was yu and at least 4 other people. Call me crazy but that's just too much bcbs for 2 or 3 people even. I do like to drink OTHER beers too...

judging by the avatar, its safe to assume that he works for the liquor store in the icon. But that amount does sound close to some of my fellow chicago brethrens hauls from this weekend. Didn't you know you can never have enough of something thats trade bait?

Pretty sure he works at/owns a liquor store. He's saying that's the amount of beer his store got to sell to the masses.

Haha, I mean I was going to tell you that you have a huge drinking/hoarding problem, but that's alright if it was a stores allotment

Weren't people excited a few months ago when it was announced BCBCS would be in 4 packs? That allowed more people to get some and at a lower price. You had to know stores would break the 4 packs up and allow more people to buy. They do it for less sought after beer.

    How much did people want?

More than 1 bottle after waiting in 2 lines for multiple hours. I just assumed that 4-packs meant it would be more readily available, and that I would be able to buy at least one 4-pack.

That sucks thats all you got for that amount of time. I would have expected you'd get one at each place. Ive seen many stores breaking up all types of 4-packs and even 6-packs such as KBS, Backwoods and even Zombie

Maybe people will be happier if they go back to $20 something bombers and get one than get one or two 12oz bottles at $6-7 each

You should check out Big Bad Baptist from epic, batch #17 is amazing if you are a coffee lover. It is more coffee than stout almost, and packs a 12% punch with almost no noticeable alcohol! My current favorite coffee beer.

I think last year woodmans got 15 cases or something like that in la crosse. Festival got there deliveries today and the 4 packs were 16.99.
