I really don't get how you don't understand. Which day is the most ideal for you? Sunday? Besides places with their religious based restrictions, most of us work close to a 9-5 Mon-Fri shift. No one wants to go to a beer fest and wake up early the next day for work. Sunday is the recoop day of the week. Friday a lot of people are working still and many wont be able to get to the event. No one wants to go on a weekday. Soooo with process of elimination, What day are we left with ?

You say you aren't able to travel or make purchases on Saturdays. For DLD for example, you can do all your travelling on Friday, purchase your ticket, reserve hotel rooms etc, any "purchasing" for the trip, well in advance. As for buying the product that DLD is structured around, take a friend and hand your purchase ticket off to them, I can't imagine the guy doing purchases would care who hands him a ticket and cash be it you and he or him twice.

This is all assuming you're Jewish and strictly observe the sabbath. If your reasoning is unrelated (say, "I'm divorced and Saturday is my day with the kids") then I guess you're just straight SOL.

No offense man, but I don't see what is so mind-blowing about Saturday working better than Sunday for the majority of people

I don't think Drie Fonteinen is really involved in Dark Lord Day  ...but I have a hunch you're on the right track and Three Floyds wouldn't give a rat shit about those restrictions, they're a business putting on an event designed to make them money, not a government agency that has an obligation to avoid discrimination at all costs.

The South-Atlantic edition of Beer Camp in Asheville is on a Sunday which makes me happy. I kind of feel OP's pain at times because I'm in the service industry and Fridays and Saturdays are harder to get off and also harder to justify taking off since the weekend is where all the money is made. But I realize that the majority of blue and white collar folks have a Mon-Fri, 9-5 schedule.

Thank you. More and more people are using the 3F abbreviation instead of FFF when I thought we'd all determined the difference a while ago! *pushes up glasses*

Maybe it's because events on a weekend day will attract more people. More people means more money.

The answer has been stated several times. Nobody wants to drink all day Sunday then get up and go to work on Monday. It sucks that Saturdays don't work for you, but unfortunately they work very well for the majority of people.

That's why I try my damnedest to convey humor when making a correction like this, I don't want to come off as the acronym police, but at the same time that part of my brain goes nuts at the ambiguity of it.

Saturday is the only day when most can start in the late morning/afternoon and go late as well. You get the most bang for your buck as far as time goes. Sunday most wont stay late, and Friday most cant start early.

Although it hasn't been confirmed, I believe the assumption is it's based off religious, not employment reasons
