More Palate Wrecker. Love it.

 

Decided to test the name of PW and followed it up with a SN PA. The SN PA tastes like a watery lager at the moment.

 

tonight I had some white wine, feral sorachi ace (very enjoyable), gypsy & the goat (the roast character is just starting to come through now and I think this one might be a real winner, luckily I've got half a dozen bottles left). finished up with a bigfoot. yer i'm pretty bloated.

 

Colonial porter. Delicious. Then off to a booze emporium for non-descript adjunct lagers. Not so delicious.

 

Bit late,but Young Henrys Pale Lager. Much better with a change of yeast ....

 

went Mountain Goat/Mikkeller tonight. odd odd beer, but given the dominant fruit yoghurt taste dont think it was a great bottle....

 

Leafer Madness IPA - sort of reminds me of a heavier Moylan's Nor-Cal IPA. Noted Hopsickle is back on the Beer Deluxe tap list, will sneak in a couple of sly glasses before the football tomorrow.

 

I had a pint of Fat Yak, which was crap.

I hate perth bars. They all suck.

 

I think stock floating around Perth has always been old. I have never really been impressed with it. Little Creatures Pale Ale obliterates it on every level.

 

Went and checked out Red Duck's new digs in Ballarat yesterday. No more Ox until 2013, a shame as its definitely imperial stout weather...the GABS beer will be in bottles in about 6+ weeks.

Anyway, had a K2 (low ABV Kolsch) last night...should've bought more and sent it to you, Lukie...the more exciting stuff in the mixed 6 pack will be for tonight.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. I'm sure myself and other people that run bars will now do our best based on your stirring words and advice.

I don't judge all bottleshops guilty because the majority stock bland adjunct lagers. Don't you do the same with bars....or I just might put a hole in that W/Melon W/head keg.....

My casual whinging out of the way....tomorrow I will be having some 2 Brothers/Feral Collaborator, Nogne-O Stout and maybe some Mikk. US Alive if we free up a tap point.

Then I'm going to change all of our taps to Dry Dock and any Kolsch I can find and then set Lukie's bottleshop on fire.

 

Yeah, but you will take criticism, because you care. I went to the BOAB. They have a Fosters tap contract, except for ONE TAP. That one tap was taken up by some completely random Lion Nathan lager. I have asked them to put Little Creatures on tap.

The exact same thing happened at the Kewdale Tavern. They re-did the bottleshop, and the kitchen is great. My parents go there regularly, and are known as regulars and I accompany them on several occasions. I now refuse to go, because their contract basically went up, and got rid of about half of their fosters lines, and filled it with James Squire. I asked if they could put some Little Creatures Pale Ale on tap, and attempted to offer them advice, and they didn't care.

And I can't travel to Freo all the time :/

On topic: Drinking an Evil Twin, and it is amazeballs.

Had Colonial Kuetebier both nights, courtesy of MordeciaFunk. Thanks a lot mate. Very interesting and very strong on the mango flavours, was wondering if they use fresh mangoes to make it. Also had a Popperings Hommelbier (good) and a Lindeman's Gueuze Cuvee Renee (also good) on Friday.

Last night I cracked a Freo Doctor Pale Lager (quite enjoyable, again thanks to MordeciaFunk). Also had an Angel's Share Bourbon from Platinum. Was awesome. Finished with a Red Duck Burton Pale Ale. Was alright.

 

Couple of Tooheys Olds watching UFC at the pub earlier, then just tooling around all afternoon eating a bit of cheese and homemade salami with pals we got through some Weihenstephaner Hefe, Hop Hog, Bridge Rd Chevalier Saison, Rogue Creek Ale, Nogne Tyttebaer, Green Flash Hop Head Red & Palate Wrecker, Mikkeller/Moutain Goat thing, Baird Morning Coffee Stout and Mikkeller Black Islay... maybe some stuff I forgot. Some tasty beverages in that lot. Palate Wrecker is wonderful.

 

Just had a Green Flash Palate Wrecker. Not sure if I'll have any more after a big weekend.

 

Celebrating an end of month stocktake with some Nogne-o Sunturnbrew. Then off to Bunnings to get some metho to help set Lukies bottleshop on fire and i will watch that with some Haand Fire and Flame. Appropriate.
