    3 things for me.

    1. Bottled on date with a best by date underneath it. Legible!!! Like Deschutes or GI has on theirs!!!
    2. 500 ml bottles. Perfect marriage of sizes
    3. The ability in CA to fill any growler anywhere.

    Cheers!

It's a funny thing... while I've always thought this a good idea, it was never something I got all that excited about either. There were occassions when I came across a beer that had obviously been sitting around too long, but the occassions that occurred were actually pretty rare. Until now.

I just recently moved to Morgantown WV pursuant to a job transfer, and I flat out can't believe the number of beers I've purchased where the beer didn't taste very fresh. One beer bar I went to had a bottle of SN torpedo that was over two years old! (and they didn't seem to think that was a problem, and couldn't understand why I didn't want to drink it) Anyway, I'm fully on board now. I agree that bottle dating should be mandatory, and the sooner the better.

I can get on board with that. Pumpkin ales should be available for a window of time no longer than September 1 to November 30. Or you know what, maybe September 30 to November 1. Or we could just stop drinking beers with caramel malts and baking spices that someone calls a pumpkin ale. That would be okay, too.

I really don't like pumpkin ales.

    National Drink-a-Beer(s) Day.

Holiday would include half off all craft beer and a mandatory day off following the holiday for recovery purposes.

No more charging over $8 for a bomber, prices on those are getting way out of hand.

Elimination of the three tier system would truly make the world (well America) a better place

Brew in colorado. The state laws are so relaxed that BRU nanobrewing was able to be opened in a garage in a zoned residential section of boulder.

I would disagree with this one: More bottles, fewer cans
I like the canned beer movement. They are lighter, easier to pack in and pack out when camping, cheaper and more environmentally friendly during creation and recycling, and they protect the beer from light and oxidation far better than a bottle. I have yet to age any cans besides Ten Fiddy and those have only gone 3-4 years so that is my only question about cans...will they hold up over time?

Most of my big issues have already been hit upon. But here's my list, in order of importance:

    1. Elimination of the 3 tier system. It's way past time for brewers to be allowed to sell directly to the customers. We don't need need no stinkin middle men!
    2. Bottled/canned on dating. Not best by. Not best after. For our hard earned money we have a right to know specifically when our beer was bottled/canned.
    3. Elimination of abv caps. Totally stupid that I can buy vodka at 80% abv but can't have a tasty Mephistopheles stout at only 16%.
    4. Allow shipping to/from any state. And leave it up to each brewery to determine if they'll ship directly (see item 2). As long as an adult signature is required there is no good reason to restrict shipping.

Now rise up, fellow BAs & let's get this done!

Bottle dating is number 1 in my book - especially for the hoppy stuff.

Edit: And bottle dating means ON the bottle, not on the case. Clarity helps, and no batch numbers or julien dating crap.

    Just a few for starters:

    1. Freshness Dates of some sort.
    2. Drink BEST, NOT LOCAL... unless best happens to be local - which is only true for a minority of BA's, or those with a pathetic distribution system in their state.
    3. Fully Appreciate & Respect beer - be a reviewer, not a ticker.
    4. End the inflated gratuity expectations & corresponding sense of entitlement, or hell just make the bold change and call it a service charge and let's no longer be disingenuous by calling it a "gratuity".
    5. Beer proselytizing does not equal beer advocacy. Advocate please... keep it to yourself.
    6. Brewers should let demand and supply dictate prices more, rather than use inefficient & annoying market practices such as release parties, committees, etc.
    7. No more Faux Pint Glasses.
    8. No more shaker glasses.
    9. Old Fezziweg Sixpacks please.
    10. Beer bars shouldn't get away with mediocre food as many have for awhile. Competition is improving things.
    11. Homerism in general, for one's city in general, not just in breweries.
    12. Self-styled beer experts at bars & retail stores - can't stand them.
    13. More awareness of BMC faithful who are anti-craft. There's a lot of them.
    14. Less "innovation". More traditional styles that are in the same league as their country of origin examples.
    15. Beer Festivals that have become beer buffet drunkfests. End this.
