I believe it's a roaster on the St. Louis side. They source coffee and roast it, and have a pretty good spread of varieties. So they make a good partner for a coffee beer (kinda like Boulevard + The Roasterie in Kansas City, which was my first recommendation).

I have 20 perfect 5 beer scores at the moment and guessing another 30+ or more above 4.75 that on any given day I could in theory make the lower one's 5's and drop some of my perfect 5's down a little.

For the OP the easier to find beers /wide distrubtion, I have at the top of my list include, Rodenbach Grand Cru, La Fin Du Monde as near perfection. I have repeated both many times over last couple years to see if my tastes/opinions may have changed and both still seem to hold up well for me.

Even after multiple Treehouse & Trillium offerings, my favorite is still Pliny the Elder.

In a word, Belgian. Either the ones made there or the copies made here.

This may sound crazy, but if you can make your way south of St. Louis into Jefferson County and the towns of Herculaneum and Festus / Crystal City, you'll be able to get one of theeeee best coffee stouts brewed in Missouri: Winter Grind by Mother's. I am not sure why it doesn't make it's way further north. Absolutely delicious.

Trade for it. Hopefully you can still find people who will go $4$ with you.

A lot of my new to craft beer friends and some of my customers ask me that all of the time...hell, I have a hard enough time narrowing down my favorite style, let alone favorite beer

I cannot state an absolute favourite because that depends a little on how I feel at the time. But this is a beer which , when is available,[IMG] I will drink first, regardless of whatever other beers are on the bar.
A very old friend which I first drank over half a century ago when it was brewed by a local regional brewer.
