I'll let the NE and MW answer this one. There are good ones in California, but nothing stands out from the crowd for me.

Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.'s Zwickel. They do all their German beers the right way.

Yet to try any of the Jack Abby's lagers, hear those are pretty good. Nonetheless, I am open to all lagers. It is hard for me to not enjoy any lager, red/dark probably an exception. Cheers to all the folks that enjoy a good, refreshing lager!

Shorts Spruce Pilsner with an honorable mention to Wolverine Massacre BBA Doppelbock. Shorts makes some of the best quality lagers across the board, and even though Wolverine seems to get totally crap ratings they are also some of the cleanest lagers I have ever had. There are countless other pale lagers and IPLs I could list here from Shorts as regular favorites. Also worthy of noting is Kuhnhenn tripel bock and Winter Wonder Eisbock. Both were completely amazing, but are much less attainable as they have not been released in a while to my knowledge.

    It's a toss up between Upland's Oktoberfest and a local brewpub's schwarzbier.

Fat Head's Hop Juju, I would say Columbus Brewing Company Bodhi but I think Hop Juju edges it out slightly

Any beer from Old Mecklenburg, all are great beers. I had some Trauger Pils when I was visiting my parents it's a great Pils too, on the line of Sunshine And Prima , a bit more hop profile. I could drink any and all interchangeably.
