If I buy some, and when I do it's usually because my brother is visiting from college and need something we can drink hoards of and play 2K?

Picked up a 30 pack of Hamm's last Saturday on a lark. Hey, $11.99 for a 30 pack! I offer no qualifiers - I really like the stuff!

I'm still thinking on it but be my guest. I may have a concrete answer eventually. So far, all I have is Blue Point Toasted Lager.

Strohs (if I can find it) or Budweiser for a lighter bodied beer, otherwise Guinness for a dark beer fix...

Imho, the only macro to drink, and I'm including the macro imports including Heineken and Dos Equis, is a nice, cold Budweiser. Budweiser is clean, light, and with a little bit of bitter hops to it and in the finish there's a little something special, although you need to down about three at least to catch it. There's a reason it took over the market. It's better to cut with rice than corn, because although rice cuts flavor, it doesn't add bad flavors like corn and the other adjuncts. Back in the 1980s we knew PBR was the absolute worst, but the hipsters have forgotten. If I'm stuck, there's no doubt that I will go for the Budweiser every time. The Busch family, still involved slightly despite the sell-out to Inbev, is maniacally proud of Budweiser and committed to avoiding any defects in their prized Budsaki, aside from the inherent defect that it's Budweiser.

I just had a PBR for the first time in years, ice cold. It was delicious. Once it warmed some, not so much.

Guinness, though my geologic field camp has left a soft spot in my heart for Kokanee. Hiking up a mountain (admittedly a small one) and coming back hot and thirsty to find a mystical beer fairy had left a foam cooler packed full of ice and Kokanee for use poor students... grateful doesn't even begin to cover it.

If I'm only drinking one, I want it to be good. I genuinely like Michelob every now and again, in part because it's produced locally. But as for the occasional cravings where I just want one - Budweiser, PBR, and Coors Banquet. Hard to pick better beers to go with real barbecue.

these are what I drink when in Mexico (sometimes harder to find there than here, at least the Bohemia) or in most Denver Mexican restaurants. In fact the litmus test for if we'll be back to one of those is whether they have Bohemia, though Negra Modelo is fine if they don't, and they ALWAYS have Negra Modela. But do imports count as "macro"? I guess if macro is defined as everything that's not "craft."

¿How much do this cost over there? Just curious. And yes, Bohemia Obscura is better than Negra Modelo, but both are good.

I'd love if one day this two beers were representative of the words "Mexican Beer" instead of shitty Corona.
