22 oz. split with a friend. Or not split with a friend if it's been one of those days that I'd like to end slightly softer around the edges.

If I am buying a beer to drink at a restaurant/bar, then I always ask for an Imperial Pint (20oz). If they do flights, I hope the pours are no larger than 6oz so I can drink a lot of them. If I am drinking a beer at home, it always depends on the beer.

Over the winter I drank a lot of porters/stouts and mixed them with ice cream, so it was nice to have bombers to make ice cream floats with and still have another 12oz or so to drink.

Now that it's summer, sours/saison/wild/bier de garde/farm house/flanders style beers fill my closet and fridge, and I simply can't get enough. I wish sours came in 1 Liter bottles. I would pound the whole thing every time. Love me some god damn sours.

16 oz ounces is pretty nice. I mean, if the beer itself doesn't taste too boozy and is easy to drink, the tall boy is more than enough, but not too much.

My favorite serving size is 25 cl in a Liefmans Goudenband glass. For me, this is the perfect glass, and therefor establishes my "serving size." I bought a whole set of these glasses at Whole Foods a few years ago, and they are great for beer tastings.

I have to apologize in advance for being "that guy," but for me every situation can be different. My favorite and most common thing is to try as much beer that's new to me as I can, usually going by recommendations from people I trust, reviewers on BA that I trust, and general consensus. A bomber is good for splitting between myself and my wife or a few friends, particularly if I'm not sure how they'll feel about it. A bomber is the biggest bottle I'll ever drink by myself, and only if I really need to relax. For me, regardless of what it is, a 750 or growler is only ever for splitting. Also, at a place that offers a ton of taps or has a lot of one-offs, I love sampling as much as I can. It's not quantity over quality so much as being able to try lots of really good stuff.
