Not really sure I care if Fortunate Island counts technically, if I was in the mood for an IPA marathon it would be my first choice

Just had Sunshine Daydream last week. Best I've had so far.

Good call OP. I came here to say Sunshine Daydream. It isn't even close IMO.

One more 'vote' for Carton Boat beer; a nice low alcohol hoppy beer that I like to session.

The vast majority of beers that are labeled as "Session IPA" are too watery for my palate; those beers are not enjoyable for me.

    Cheers to @augiecarton !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would say the one I'm drinking and decide to have more than two, despite abv. A session should rely more on taste than alcohol by volume. Cheers.

Long name. Which brewery makes that one?

This is for the "I don't drink session IPAs, I prefer pale ales" forum.

Carton Boat Beer is head and shoulders above the rest.

Ballast Point Even Keel. And it's even 3.9% to boot.

I feel like American brewers will keep getting better at session beers. As the Brits show with cask ales, low abv beers can be amazing.

I can't say it's the "best" because that would just ruin it. However, I've been enjoying Smuttynose Finestkind (Bros.100)(BA 92) for the day after I had a few others. Still doing work, still feeling great. So, I vote for Finestkind today....
