This is a style that not too many breweries in Michigan have tackled, for some reason. Year-round we get Dragonmead's Final Absolution and Bastone's Nectar de Deux - both excellent, though not exceptional in terms of what's been done with the style worldwide.

Harryemel, I think you've missed the point.

    Westmalle, hands down.

After that, I really like Chimay, Allagash, La Fin Du Monde.

I haven't tried Curieux yet, but it is certainly on my to-do list.

Great post. Did a blind test with four Quads last year (Westy, St B., Rochefort and La Trappe) and think I'm going to follow your lead on my next one. Thanks.

For the money, its hard to beat La Fin Du Monde.

    St Bernardus Tripel
    Chimay White
    Tripel Karmeliet
    Westmalle

Now I'm regretting not buying Val Dieu Tripel when I had the chance, seeing it mentioned here a few times.

If you're able to get it, L'Herbe à Détourne from Dieu de Ciel is a must try.

I feel bad saying Tripel Van de Garre because it's harder to find, but probably that. Maybe I just felt exclusive when Ihad it. I drank it at Staminee De Garre in Brugge, and it was excellent. La Fin Du Monde, Karmeliet, Westmalle, Chimay, St. Barnardus, etc. are all incredibly close though.

My favorite triple is the one that Prince Fielder hit in the All Star Game. He is the next Usain Bolt.

Westmalle and La Fin Du Monde are both amazing to me. St. Bernardus is also extremely good. Boulevard's I like as well. Allagash's is also worthy of note. Victory's Golden Monkey doesn't get much love on here, but I enjoy it.
