I bought a take away sandwich and a beer and had them in the park at 9:30 this morning after a three hour bike ride. Usually, though, it’s an early afternoon start time for me on weekends. No later than 1:00PM. I greatly prefer early drinking, particularly in the summer.

 

Anytime I get the chance. Usually after I’m done a job (household chores, groceries, mowing the lawn, main occupation etc..). If I have to work the next day, I like to start early and be done drinking before 3 pm. My occupation has me working early in the morning (5 am) so I try to finish my last beer 12 hours before I have to go back to work.

 

I'll drink whenever but I pretty much never drink and eat at the same time. I'm not that guy that likes to enjoy a good beer or wine with a meal I would rather have a water when I eat. I much prefer booze all on its lonesome but I know I am an outlier there.

 

Not a hard and fast rule, but generally after 5PM on weekdays, and not until 2PM on the weekends. But I have also finished off some pastry or coffee stouts left over from a bottle opening the night before, and enjoyed them side by side with my morning coffee.

 

On my days off, 11-noon is totally fine with me, depending on what I have planned to get done that day. I love a beer or to before dinner. Usually I'll try to get yardwork done by 2pm so that I can have a refreshing cold one by then. During the week I don't drink much however on days off and weekend, it's whenever the opportunity presents itself.

 

The answer is: YES.

But seriously, around 5 p.m. (usually)

Then again, a few of us (*cough*) don't think you can drink all day if you don't start in the morning. Allegedly.

 

What's a football game?

 

Anytime after noon, so I don’t feel bad about myself. I wish I could say Friday night and weekends only, but that’s not the case.

 

mostly I drink after I have supper then clean up after that but if I'm with a friends place I drink early at around after 4 pm or 5:30 pm.

 

I drink less than I used to, but when I do:

Weekdays, either after I'm done working and before/while cooking dinner, or after dinner when in full relaxation mode

Weekends, either late afternoon after I've gotten my errands/chores done, or after dinner when in full relaxation mode

It's rare that I have more than one beer in a day (yesterday was an exception, I had two pretty low ABV beers)—and I often go days or weeks without a single beer (though that also has changed during the pandemic, as my schedule has gotten a lot easier with no commute and not having to shuttle my daughter around)—so I like to make the most of it and really savor the experience.

Speaking of which, I think now is right about that time.

 

Pre Covid it would be on Saturday mornings. Wake-up, put on the Premier League, pull a coffee stout out of the fridge to warm up sufficiently, and a hour later, imbibe. Try to keep it under control so I have motivation to do stuff after football is over. Now it is the first beer after a hard days work.

yep. I can’t actually enjoy or process a beer while they’re still awake. Though sometimes I open one up when I’m grilling, one of the rare times drink during the day.

 

On my days off I like to drink a beer early in the morning. Sleeping in for me is waking up at 7-8am and I’ll get some air and have a beer outside within an hour of getting up after breakfast while I figure out what I need to do for the day it’s like my coffee (which I don’t drink anymore) I tend to drink early because for some reason If I do right before bed it keeps me up.

 

I generally like the before dinner beer also, that is my most common time for a beer. Sometimes on weekends, I'll have one right before lunch instead. Before the meal is important, the clean palate allows me to fully appreciate the flavor of the beer.

Very rarely, mostly on Holidays, I'll have a dark beer first thing in the morning. That usually results in an upturned eyebrow from my significant other.
