Yeah, you know, despite all the hipster hubbub and whatever, I enjoy it in bottles every once in a while. It has a refreshing quality and is definitely better than what is considered in its class...

For me it would be SA Boston Lager. It is under 5% abv and comes in a can. Depending on the season, Boulevard Wheat or Guinness Draft will make an appearance.

Love all types of beer........BUT, never have cared much for the lights.......However, due to some (I hope temporary) weight loss and carb. reduction issues , it looks like I will be, for the most part, consuming light beers .............Any recommendations , folks ??????? (please be serious)......

amstel light, but if you want to lose weight ditch the beer and go Vodka. I did this 3 years ago when I was cutting weight. I was miserable though because I missed good beer

ponto sipa, easy jack, pinner, av gose. pretty much anything below 5% is light but I've seen a few at 3.5%

also if you drank a pint of 10% and a pint of water that's basically 32oz of 5%

I call the above "beer math." It's a subject I excel at, whereas real math fails me.

You have waaaay better ROI with hard liquor.

Light beers are often not good choices when you consider calories vs. ABV, but Bud Light is one of the better ones (excluding ice beers, because who wants to drink vomit); irrespective of taste it's 140 calories and 5.0 ABV; but then Guinness clocks in at 4.0 ABV and 125 calories. You may just want to slam a DF 120 (450 calories and 18 ABV) and get more bang for your buck or switch to whiskey.

Sam Adams light carries alot more flavor than most in this category. Way better than Amstel
