Depends on what time of year it is and what I have in the fridge. I grill in just about any weather save a heavy downpour or blizzard.

I'll likely go for whatever is on hand, but in the heat of the summer, I'll usually reach for a pils or kolsch. I'm looking forward to grapefruit Sculpin though now my local Wegmans carries it.

I picked up a couple four packs of Anchors new Argonaut series Double IPA. Pretty good beer and goes good with burgers and dogs today and hopefully the smoked chicken and ribs for tomorrow!

Cool thread. Usually some kind of Euro lager: Steigl Goldbrau, Peroni, Heineken, Stella, etc. On the other hand, some Sweetwater 420 always does the trick...

Usually something like banquet, rolling rock or yeungling. I will not 9/10 drink stout or IPAs when it's hot outside.

When I grill in the winter it is whatever is in the fridge. In summer where I live it will be over 100 degrees for the next four months I tend to go with SNPA, Fall River Hexagenia(IPA) or what ever other IPA or Summer time seasonal beer I have.

I grill 3-4 times a week, and smoke something atleast once a week usually. I do this year 'round.

Any beer works, no need for a special occasion, as it's a daily ritual to fire up the lump charcoal.

I boil my brats and baste the meat with the cheapest BMC or equivalent I can find. I serve myself the same stuff I always drink although If I am spedning the day smoking a pork butt I might go out and pick up a growler.
