What's your most disappointing fall through?

    I just had a trade fall through (no fault whatsoever of the trader) wherein I was going to trade a handful of Allagash and CA locals for some Surly Wet that he was sure he could still get. Of course, per Murphy's Law, what he thought was a sure thing was sold out once he actually tried to procure it. No harm, no foul as we waited to complete the trade until he had it in hand. But this got me thinking about the other various beers I've had fall through for one reason or another.

    So, my list of top 3 beers that I've had trades baited but unable to reel in at the last minute are:

    Cigar City Hunuhpu
    Surly Darkness '10
    Lawsons Finest Liquids Box (I was hoping for anything available at the time)

    Surly Wet doesn't quite crack that list since I suppose I COULD still technically get it this season. But I'm just curious, what are some of trades you were so excited to get only to have them slip out of your fingers at the last moment.

    Allagash Resurgam, have had a few fall through, Either I did not have what the trader wanted, or I was not willing to dish out that many beers for one bottle. Still dieing to try it

    Maybe not fall through, but... it is worth mentioning.

    In mid 09, I had a trader offer me some Blabaer for a trio of Bullfrog beers. I passed, and he sent something else my way instead... WOW do I regret that, as I would kill for some Blabaer now, and basically have no chance in hell of ever trading for it.

    The one that stands out is had a trade set up trading a Lente for a Rare last year. Trade partner wasn't able to make it to the event where we planned the IP trade so it died since we didn't want to ship.

    I had a trade of BCBS + other stouts and would have gotten a BCBVS, he said that my offer sounded good then never got back to me about the trade. saw a post recently from him offering up a BCBVS and it made me :slight_frown: but no negative feelings on it, just didn't work out i guess.

    Had a 2012 BA bourbon vanilla DL fall through on me because i took to long with my decision. All good. Ill snag one some other time.

    [​IMG]robL - I just picked some up from the store last night and had them with a friend of mine very tasty! I have also sent a 4/pk plus other to Jriggz and should get my trade back from him tomorrow. let me know what you have to offer if you would still like some Surly WET! attached is a pic of the shipment I sent out.

    Or for me, any bottle or growler from hill farmstead. Those trades have usually fallen through because I don't have a mega deep cellar to reach in to so I can trade wale for growler.

    I had a trade where I was going to send a T25 in exchange for a PvW Eclipse (pink wax) bottle. That made me cry.....
