What's your most recent 5/5?

I agree with carlitos 92, bo and Luke was my last 5. Sweet dreams ever since but nightmares to the fact that i don't have more. Amazing beer.

 

Victory DirtWolf back in January of this year is my most recent. First one I had was just phenomenal, just a damn good DIPA and is now a staple in my fridge.

 

Marshal Zhukov's Final Push. Had it at hunahpu day. It was so freaking phenomenal. It might be the best beer I've ever had. Only given 3 other 5's; Pannepot aged 3 years, rochefort 10, and BCBCS. I wish I could have a hundred bottles of final push. If anyone has a bottle.... ISO!

 

Very Sour Blackberry. Phenomenal.

 

i have never given a five in each category for beer i've reviewed, and i'v never given a five to a beer i've rated.
i've given dogfish head, hop stupid, sucks, pranqster, and firestone opal 5's for taste and overall though

 

I've heard both sides of the stories and both have compelling arguments. I understand that there is no "perfect" beer and it would be impossible for one beer to be a complete 5 in ALL categories. I rate by style. If its the best beer I had within that style than its a 5 for me untill another knocks it down which I will adjust accordingly, whether it be in my mind, an opinion or rating on a site. Life's too short to feel that nothing would be perfect or exceed your expectations. I rate high cause I feel like the beers I have are mostly damn good and better than okay. To sum it up, some people loved the movie Gigli.... Different strokes for different folks. .
