Dogfish for getting some wonderfully different beer out to the masses. I really like their culture and the fact that they genuinely care about their local scene....you folks in DE are really lucky. Free State in Lawrence, KS as well. Great little brewery.

New Glarus. After dabbling in every other brewery I could find during my exciting exploratory year in craft, I eventually returned home to New Glarus as my go-to. Quality, freshness, price, variety and ridiculous availability all make it a no-brainer for day-to-day drinking. Let's not even get started on the range and quality of their Thumbprint series.

Also, you can't knock them for keeping their wares in-state. If anything, it only increases my respect for them, especially knowing their motives for doing so.

The only thing I feel is missing from their portfolio is a big stout. It may be too mainstream cliche for Dan, but then again, he went and brewed Scream...

Anchor. Fritz era especially, but I like what they're doing now as well.

Probably Trappist Orval in Belgium. They brew one beer (ok, two if you include the petite orval available at the abbey) and they don't cut any corners in brewing one best and one of the most unique beers in the world. Although they could probably brew the beer in less time, they don't. It would sacrifice quality and tradition. They do not advertise and participate in few promotional events. Very few tours of the brewery are ever given but a visit to the abbey is a once-in-a-lifetime and unforgettable experience! One really has to go out of their way to find it and visit it. Finally, the profits help fund charitable activities. I always keep a nice supply on hand and love to age them and taste the difference. Great fresh or aged!
