I have to give my nod to Citra Extra Pale Ale from Knee Deep. An exceptional crisp citra hop masterpiece!
According to my friends in Cali that are in the know, Knee Deep was a popular company to hate on due to their previous practice of no freshness date, which has been corrected. Thumbs way up Knee Deep!

According to my reviews and rating deviations, there are many, but based upon my reviews of beers in the past year, I'd have to say Dogfish Head Noble Rot. Cheers

In addition, Victory Summer Love is supremely underrated in my mind. It's one of the best hot-weather craft beers I've had in my limited drinking career.

Going strictly by ratings deviation, Budweiser. I have it rated at a 3, which is +28.8% higher than the average.

The only other two that are over +20% are DFH Tweason'ale, and Oz from DuClaw.

As a Vermonter, I give my props to a Cali beer and you crap on the legendary Heady Topper?! I guess the East Coast & the West Coast are still duking it out!

It's usually a good beer, but it's not the end all be all of IPAs like it's made out on here. I say usually a good beer because it's the most consistently inconsistent beer i've ever had.

My largest positive rDev on BA is Tocobaga. It has a 93, but I still find that to be underrated. I gave it a 4.9 in my review. Ridiculously good beer. Hopefully if I praise it enough it will start being shipped to Miami in the amount that it used to.

Pick a decent beer with an ABV < 7%.

Make it <6% and it will even be more accurate. Some beers in 6-7% range can still get hyped and/or get high ratings. These statements exclude sour beers (lambics, wild ales, etc.), which can have over-the-top flavors (which appeal to the BA masses, myself included) and lower abv.

93? That isn't underrated at all, that's exceptional. Pick another...

It's weird that you posted this as underrated, considering how much positive praise this has gotten. As a fff local i'm going to throw alpha king in the fray, everyone is all about zombie dust...not seeing the forest through the trees

Smuttynose Shoals Pale Ale, just a really great beer that can be drank anywhere but has the depth of character to stay in memory, at least mine, for a long while.

85 is a crummy rating for this citra bomb, and I love Zombie Dust, while Permanent Funeral & Dreadnaught failed to impress me after all the hype (both are syrupy sweet). I will have to try Alpha King based on your suggestion.
