What's your "nightcap" beer?

The last few nights I've probably been drinking too much too late because I will be on the couch watching a movie drinking and the next morning I will be in my bed but I will have no knowledge of how I got from couch to bed, usually to wake up with a headache since I wasn't able to drink water before sleeping which I usually try to do. But another thing I've also realized is I will dream like a mofo on these nights, usually having awesome dreams. But then I wake up and have to run to the bathroom which is another thing I hate about drinking beer.

 

I love this as a nightcap.

 

I keep a supply of Founder's Porter and Breakfast Stout around for this.

 

I don't drink for the purpose of making myself tired. I love a good stout after a meal, but late at night for the sole purpose of trying to sleep? Chamomile does the trick for me.

 

Beer engineers peanut butter porter puts me right to sleep.

 

Why would something with coffee in it be considered a night cap?

usually if i enjoy a nightcap it isn't beer, but whiskey/rum, but when it is beer it's something pretty pedestrian. maybe a Sam/NB/SN seasonal, or something Lagunitas.

 

BCBS always puts me in the mood for bed, love that it's 12 oz too.
