Just thinking some unconventional thoughts here. Not sure if anyone shares the same sentiments.

    Our typical "pint" is 16oz.
Personally, I'm a slow drinker for carbonated drinks. By the time I reach my last 4oz, my beer would have warmed to a certain degree that it's not pleasant anymore. Of course 1 solution is simply to drink faster.
Granted temperature varies with the establishments, ie indoor vs outdoor seating, or using chilled (not frosted) glass vs unchilled glass or air conditioned or natural air

My general experience is that I wished my pint is smaller. But not too small to enjoy like tasters, half pours or anything below 10oz.

So the sweet spot for me is about 13 to 14oz.
I can enjoy the beer thoroughly, at good temperature and at a comfortable volume, and I can prolly try out 2 more other beers.

Not trying to split hairs about the exact oz that a serving size should be, but just a friendly poll to see what's a comfortable serving size and why.

A pint, by definition, is 16oz. Nothing "typical" or extreme about that

My personal favorite is the 12oz pour. Just the right size for someone, like me, who rarely drinks 2 of the same in a row.

Really depends on the strength of beer and if I'm drinking it with a meal or just drinking.

Drinking non loopy juice - imperial pint
Eating with non loopy juice -12oz
Drinking or eating with loopy juice -half imperial pint

100% depends on the ABV of the beer. An 8oz. of a huge BA stout, a 12 oz. of a moderately strong stout or barleywine, 16 oz. of moderate IPA. With a meal, probably a pint of moderate ABV beer. I did not enter a choice in the survey since it is an odd question that can't be answered in that format.

I agree with @LiquidAmber , it all comes down to style. You don't need, or maybe want, as much of a really strong beer. Overall, I prefer smaller pours, being a ticker. It just gives me the chance to try more different beers. So about 8 oz for an imperial stout, barley wine and the like, around 10-12oz for beer in the 4-8 ABV range I think is perfect for me. Flights, to me, are only to figure out the overall quality of the beer in a place you've never been before.

I often drink 32oz growlers and crowlers, and since my favorite glass is 16oz, I'll drink them in two 16oz glass-fulls. If I am at a taproom and having to drive, I'll only go with 16+ if the beer is 6% ABV or less. For higher ABV, most taprooms around here serve up 9 to 12oz doses. In college I drank BMC directly from 64oz pitchers, but many of us did stupid shit back then.

If a beer isn't as interesting to me after 16 oz as when I started, I tend to have no use for it.

For me, 12 oz is perfect for most beers. Sometimes I'll go with an 8 oz glass if it's a really potent beer. I'm generally not a big fan of the 16 oz pours.

Depends on the style and strength of the beer. If it has a wine level ABV then I don't want more than a wine size portion.

Anything larger than 500ml makes me anxious as I start thinking I am missing out on some other beer.

I'm guessing that's why he put "pint" in quotation marks. At least around here it's not unusual for places to offer "pints" that come in shaker glasses that are decidedly not 16 ounces. So "pint" seems to have taken on something of a colloquial usage as just a synonym for "glass".

    Again, around here anyway.

A pint for basically anything 7% and under. 8% and up I'd prefer smaller pour.

Too true. Maybe I should have also included 500ml in my response .
