12 to 16 oz, depending on the beer, my mood, and the weather.

Seems like its leaning towards 16oz and 12oz.

From majority of the replies, 16oz or 12oz for less potent beers, 12oz or 10oz for more potent or stronger flavoured beers.

I pretty much drink IPA's and DIPA's, stouts and BA stouts
IPA's & DIPA's 10-12 oz (usually put a plastic baggy and a rubber band over the 16oz can and finish about an hour later)
Stouts and BA stouts prefer about 3-5 oz

I got a uKeg recently and bought 100 co2 cartridges so I can stretch out a Stout over a week or two, pretty awesome having 3-5 oz of a stout every day or two for 1-2 weeks rather than saving it for a special occasion which never seems to happen.

I chose 10 oz and below. I'm what they say, "antojado" in Spanish. I roll into town, and I want to sample EVERYTHANG! So give me a GOOD sample size so I can get a good feel for the beer.

If everything came in 7-ounce bottles and cans, I'd be as happy as a pig in a mudhole. My second choice would be 12-ounce (brown) bottles. #neverbombers

16oz, especially for big stouts. Sometimes 12oz doesn't feel like enough and a bomber is too big.

I have no numeric preference. Damn. Every situation is different. In Munich I likely wouldn't order a pint, but in England I surely would.

12 oz is perfect for most styles, I prefer to mix it up in my drinking sessions and a bigger pour means less beers tried.

I feel scammed by any quantity less than a half liter or about 16 ounces. Regardless of style, or ABV.

22oz if at home and pouring from a bottle or 16oz glass if out somewhere. If I'm at home I know I'm probably only sticking to one kind of beer for the night, if I'm out I may want to try a few different kinds depending on the menu.

Ok guys, you need to take this apart piece by piece:

10oz - Way too little to really dive into any beer. I've had pints that I haven't gotten a true grasp on until 3/4 of the way through, so that's out

    11oz - Nobody serves those

12oz - Though more common, 12oz servings of beers make me feel there was a little something missing by the time I reach the end of the glass, especially if I really love the beer. Still not enough

13oz- It's really just the same as a 12.7 oz bottle. A respectable serving size even with higher octane beers. Having multiples makes things interesting with higher ABVs though

14oz - Now things get tricky. Higher ABV as you approach pint size just starts getting dangerous but I still feel a low ABV lager has its place higher in spectrum. Yet the OP is stating trying multiple things is a factor.

15oz - Almost a pint but you're never going to try 3-5 different pours of this size of any beer without becoming somewhat inebriated. Also out.

16oz - The standard unit of measure of beer on the planet. Just up the road from me, I was served a 10% Russian Imperial Stout in a pint. Did I think that was the proper serving size? No. Did I send it back? Hell no. I drank it. Still, I would not want that on a regular basis and even sometimes at the end of imperial pints (20oz) of delicious lagers, I still feel like it can be a chore.

    17oz- Again, never seen it.

So I guess my answer is probably 14oz. Just enough to get into a quaffable style and not too much that I can't finish it regardless of style/ABV. Plus I can try more than one in a setting and not be worried about getting too shnockered

It depends on abv and style, but realistically, if I had to pick one serving size--I like 12 oz. It's a good portion size.
