NO breweries there as of yet, but that will change when Steel String opens. I mean they could just give me kegs of their Big Mon IPA.

Wheat Whiskey Bourbon County Stout? Interesting I'm assuming it's BCBS aged in wheated whiskey barrels (like Makers Mark or Old Weller). I'm sure it going to be good, but if that's what it is then I'm equally sure it's going to be indistinguishable from regular BCBS. Thoughts anyone?

The ABV limit here in Ohio is 12%, so we don't get any of the Bourbon County line. Unless this one will be 12% or less..

though we might not know with certainty, i'm gonna guess it will be made using barrels that were filled with distillate from Bernheim.

I am crossing my fingers for Weller or Parker Heritage I will kill if it's the latter, my favorite Bourbon to date it could also be Pappy.

pretty sure the Parker's Herritage releases that were wheaters, were Bernheim whiskey. another thing i think might be overlooked by most... if my memory serves me correctly there was a stint after S-W shut down that Julian Van Winkle III was with Bernheim before moving into the Buffalo Trace family).

Yep, after being bought by Heaven Hill, but the mashes were developed by Parker and are not Old Fitz, Bernheim, etc. It is also believed that the newer Pappy 15 is part Bernheim, but Julian has said it's all BT

not sure. quite a few years back the 12 was believed to be into Bernheim stock. based on time frame, my guess is the 15 would be past the Bernheim supply. on that note i tend to believe the current is BT juice.

If this stuff is aged in Bernheim barrels I may start slapping nuns from here to Chicago to get it. That's my favorite whiskey outside Knob Creek's Single Barrel.

BCBS series is getting out of hand. They could soon take the hype train engineer's hat from Three Floyds.

Just wait until they release the Bourbon County Molasses Stout in 2013. Oy. That one will be true murder to get. And a sweetness bomb to drink.

just to be clear, before you start slappin' women, it sounds like you probably are talking about Bernheim (the brand) whereas myself & i believe snowrs are talking about Bernheim the facility/distillery. Bernheim (the brand), technically, is NOT a "bourbon".

Yes I was, which is now Heaven Hill which is still producing excellent Bourbon, Once they said wheated it does narrow down the barrel choices a great deal, down to really three distilleries; HH, MM, BT. Those are the three big guns in currently produced Wheaters.

    Gimme gimme gimme.

Didn't get an Bramble, so I'm hoping to score some of this sure-to-be-delicious treat.

agree. still there's another viable option or two out there that leads back to S-W.
