When does Bissell's new location open?

Hopefully the first week in June. Details have been semi-mixed from the employees to Peter, himself.

I would put my money on the first week of June given how much time they need to swap the actual brewery/glycol system from Industrial Way to Thompson's Point (and that this is their last week on Industrial Way).

 

They posted on Twitter yesterday that they were mashing in their last batch at the Industrial Way location, so it sounds like very soon.

 

Will their new location be big enough to support some decent retail distribution?

 

I was there yesterday (5/4), it was their last wednesday at Industrial. The girl at the counter said they have 2 more weekends (thurs-sat) at Industrial, which means they should be opening the new place the days prior to Memorial Day weekend.

 

Will the location at Industrial be open next Thurs (5/12)?

 

Yes.

I wish I could edit my post to say that Bissell won't be open on Wednesday's anymore at Industrial. This isn't their last week there.

 

I hope so because I'm heading up to Naples for Memorial Day and was planning on a Bissell stop

 

Dang... Just found this thread. I'm going to be in Portland on the 25th - 27th and was really hoping to hit up Bissell Brothers. Any recent word on if the new taproom is opening up soon?

We are happy to announce that brewing & fermentation have commenced at Thompson's Point ! A few things to consider-

1. Saturday May 21st is the FINAL day of service at One Industrial Way. We have 80 cases of Substance (3 4pk pp) 4 taps, and Mo Nunez spinning! Come have a pour (in a plastic cup) and help us send off our storied original location!

2. There will be NO on-premise service (cans or draft) at either location for Memorial Day weekend.

3. Keep in mind that we are essentially starting over from scratch, not transferring any pre-packaged beer, so the earliest POSSIBLE opening date at the Point will be Saturday, June 4th. As soon as things are stable and we can predict a packaging schedule, we will formulate and release the opening date & the types of beer we will have available for it. Hang in there! We're almost there and it's gonna be PRETTY, PRETTY GOOD.
