When does Parabola hit Austin?

Gotta love "Half Cases", it makes it easier to watch the last bottle being sold

 

Gave it a shot at Sunrise, after coming up empty I filled up with gas and chuckled as a flood of cars pulled in and people walked in, turned to the register, and walked out dejected... First World Problems...

 

Sounds like this one is going to be tougher this year. Last year I walked into an HEB and bought 6 boxes right off the shelves. Also remember that cases of these boxed bottles only have 6 in them, so if a place says they have 2 cases, thats only 12 bottles. Plan accordingly (or just trade - its sitting all over shelves in CA and OR)

 

I saw sunrise twitter it, so I went to a place nearby sunrise that sells good beer and got it with no problem an hour later.

No point in fighting with everyone who follows sunrise twitter.

 

I believe they are 12 to a case according to a tweet I saw from Firestone.

Their regular bombers are 12/case, but anything boxed is 6/case. At least in terms of what they send to TX. I'm not sure why this is, but it was the case with Sucaba and DDB, so I assume the same here. Would be happy to be wrong on this one, but considering Sunrise only had 6, I'm assuming that was a "case"

 

Well crap! My hopes were up.

 

East 1st Grocery just tweeted that they had 1 case, and then tweeted that it was sold out 11 minutes later. And the box was definitely a small box that holds 6.

This is going to be awful

 

It hit Dallas today, sold out at various Total Wine's, Whole Foods and Central Market's already.

 

I've been finding that out... Shoulda just gone home and enjoyed a beer.

 

Yeah, I hit a red light and missed it by 30 seconds, lol.

 

Ha...true hoarders don't stop at stop lights.

 

Yeah missed out on Sunrise and E1G. Crazy with only them getting 6 bottles.

 

after that I turned around and found my bottle, hah. Tried east first since I work downtown thought it would be easy (thinking like a noob).

 

I got the last one at Total Wine Walnut hill (sold out in 20 mins they said), and one of the last ones at Central Market Lovers...CM said they only got 18 (three boxes) and TW only got 6 (one box)...

In other news, there are literally thousands of bottles of this same beer gathering dust all over California...sigh.

 

Whip in got it yesterday, and only 6. Oh well, I'll just get it in Boise on my next trip.

 

I'm honestly not worried about grabbing a couple of these. They are easy to get if you know where to look. If you're only hitting the most well-known spots it's not a surprise shit's going to fly off the shelf in minutes, especially with 6 bottles.

If it's anything like Sucaba I think we're OK.

 

I actually do not mind the main places only getting 6 bottles - it just means the people who only know about those places rush there and it is out. I just casually walk to another place, and get it, and will probably go get another bottle tomorrow somewhere else.

In other words - dont go to the places that are tweeting it - you wont get one there.

 

Who wants to send me a list of these lesser-known locations???

 

When I say that, I mean places like Rosedale Market or SoLa Liquor store. Most people just hit up Sunrise or E1G immediately. The masses know those two, while a lesser amount know of ones like Rosedale.
