This was announced over a year ago, but it's gotten pretty scarce down here in L.A.

Finally found a couple of sixers at one store today, bottle date 2/17.

Anyone have a reputable word on when we're going to see it year-round?

I'm starting to see it on shelves with more and more regularity in NYC. I think it IS year-round now... but that doesn't mean you're always going to get it. Lagunitas seems to make a lot of beers year-round, but besides the IPA (and depending on where you are, one or two of their other beers), a lot of their styles come and go from the shelves.

I am pretty sure there was a thread recently where someone posted an email they got from Lagunitas which stated that they are done making it for now. I believe that the last batch was bottled on March 2nd, but I may be wrong. Originally, it was stated that it would be in 32oz bottles when it becomes year round, but there have been bottle manufacture issues. As far as I know, it is still supposed to be in 32oz format when it is year round. Search through the threads and you can read the email from Lagunitas (I am too lazy to look right now, but I just saw this a couple days ago).

Yikes - that bottle format just seems like the absolute wrong choice for this beer.

I totally agree. If I want 32 oz worth of Sucks, I can just open 3 beers and dump out 4 oz. It would probably be cheaper that way. Large format bottles always cost more per oz. I love $10 sixers of Sucks. You can't beat the quality to cost ratio.

Maybe once their new facility here in chicago is up and running we'll get it year round, although I have to agree that a 32oz bottle format sounds like a terrible idea.

I got some last week with a julian code of 065, which I figured out to be march 6th as far as freshness of what's out there is concerned that may be the newest batch they've made this year.

In this year's 6-pack format I've probably gone through two cases. Once it goes to 32 ounce bottles I'll be buying next to none.

I really want this beer year round, and I really want it available enough that I don't have to bribe my local stores...
I feel like some beer ***** when that happens.....but it won't stop me.
I keep comparing this beer to my other favorites, and it keeps winning.
I know I sound like a couple of dozen other googley eyed biatches, but man, I love this stuff.
I want this to happen year round, I NEED this to happen year round....
    I am so ashamed.....:flushed:

Remember when the 32oz bottles were announced a while back and everyone went nuts with excitement?

When it was announced, everyone was talking about paper bags and the awesomeness of a larger format container. Ultimately, people started to discussing how old Hop Stoopid gets sitting on shelves (especially since it's like $7 in MA), and how it would be a shame if Sucks succumbed to the same fate.

Yes and I expressed my displeasure then, as well. Trust me, there are still people that are excited, they just haven't chimed in yet.

if there are manufacturer issues then why dont they just stick to the 12oz bottles that they have now?! sooo asinine

Yea, I remember alright!! Also, Hop-stoopid is still solid even if it sits on the shelves!! 32 Sucks will be interesting but there is a possibility that people will get tired of the novelty of a Sucks 32OZ Caguama!!

I feel bad going into binny's and drooling over the stacks of cases they always have when I keep seeing that people can't find it...then I go home and have one and forget what I was feeling bad about. :stuck_out_tongue:
