Whatever your take is on whether you like to drink 32 oz. in one sitting, the fact is that here in the San Francisco Bay Area the large format bottles sit at my local store for months and months. I have no interest in buying a six month old 32 oz. bottle. The six packs used to fly off the shelf. When reasonably fresh Sucks is one of my favorite IPA's. Sad that Lagunitas made this choice.

Then they have to drink something else then, don't they? They don't need to come here and complain about it. The thread was titled "When does Sucks go year-round?" not "Come here to complain about Lagunitas Sucks bottle size".

Lagunitas is coming to Central Mississippi in the next few weeks. In fact, it's in North MS now. So I want my Sucks and anything else that's available. So affordable. So damn good.

The 32 OZers have gone full shelf turd here in MA. That's not to say I didn't like them- I thought they were pretty cool, and actually thought they were a pretty reasonable amount of beer to drink in a sitting. Personal preference, that's all.

agreed. when i saw those 3 month old big guys...i knew that batch on shelves would be year round. similarly, i know of a store that has double trouble year round. they've had it year round since 2013 (almost bought some this year when the new batch came out - always check those bottle on dates kids!)

I picked up a 32oz bottle last week here in Northern VA for $8. Not a bad price point, particularly when you reflect on how much we all probably pay for bombers of other high quality IPA's! For what its worth, I will always prefer a 6-pack, it is a better deal price-wise and more manageable by way of consumption, but if they can distribute this very fine beer more regularly throughout the year by using the 32oz format, then its absolutely fine by me!

Yep. It's a nice price when compared to the bombers in my area. I've purchased 5-6 quarts of Sucks. I've ended up splitting all of them with buddies/neighbors. Just seems like a bit much. Even when it's out in 12 oz. bottles, I never had more than 1-2 a night.

It does sadden me to hear that Sucks in 32oz bottle sits on shelves in some locations. It is certainly a fine brew and we want Lagunitas to keep making it year round. I know what would make ALOT of Lagunitas fans happy, though I doubt it will ever happen, as Tony has been very outspoken about it. Pint sized cans...:slight_frown:

I respect his stance and staying true to his values, but I am sure there are "green" options available. Dogtown, I hope you are reading this.

I haven't seen any in Michigan. I would buy it if it was relatively fresh.

There's a shop here in town that apparently doesn't get a whole lot of traffic, as there is a couple of 6 packs of Sucks there... Just noticed them about a month ago.

The 32oz bottles hit Ohio a few weeks back and of course I had to grab one for the novelty (and fresh Sucks), but at $6.99 it likely won't be a purchase I make too often. $9.99 6-packs of Sucks is a waaaaaay better deal. Still, I'll take Sucks when I can get it! Anyone else notice the 32oz bottles say 8% ABV, but the 12oz bottles have been 7.8%?
