In the boston area it seems like most local/regional craft lagers have all but disappeared.

No more Smuttynose Portsmouth Lager, Otter Creek VT lager, Magic Hat Mother Lager, Casco bay Pilsner, Buzzards Bay Lager, etc. that I used to buy/drink on the regular in early/mid 00's. And now no more SN Glissade.
Most attempts by me to find a craft lager that I can rely on to be consistent, interesting, and drinkable, and priced and be available year round so I can drink it regularly have failed. No wonder I buy so many 12 packs of St. Pauli Girl, Spaten Lager, Bitburger, Pilsner Urquell, etc.

Would love to see more well made drinkable lagers and blonde bocks made in the area and priced reasonably - and ones that taste like lager, not just proclaimed to be lager but are hopped with american hops and/or employ a neutral yeast. Had hope for Jacks Abbey, but they seem to be more geared towards novelties for the beer geek/ticker/trader than a lager drinker.

They did this with Run BMC. (Which I thought was good.) Another great example is Ballast Point's Fathom India Pale Lager.
