There isn't a set date. They sampled barrels about two months ago and at that time said it needed more time. Apparently they sampled again recently and it needs even more time. Also, unlike the last few years which has a release at the taproom, bottles this year are ALL going to distribution (with no prior announcement/secretly) when it's ready.

I really love this way to distribute rare/highly sought after beers truthfully. kind of like how Black Note was done, and the exact OPPOSITE from how kbs was done. God what a shit show

A guy I talked to at a local Hyvee confirmed it will be released silently to distro and will be held for a few days with a set release date. I'm assuming they will announce the release date after they've delivered it to distro. Not sure about that part though.
I'm dreaming of a day they have a big annual release for all their big stouts. I would pay an unhealthy sum of money for a ticket to that.
