I am pretty subtle about correcting people. So if they were to say Belgiums are their favorite beer I would say "yeah, I am a big fan of Belgians as well" making sure I put the emphasis on the correct pronunciation. Works pretty well especially if I repeat it several times in the conversation.

On here unless they name a beer made in Belgium I just assume they are talking about another American beer that calls itself a Belgian. Half the folks out there call beer something that it isn't. In the style of don't make it Belgian.
I love Blue moon, but its not a belgain beer, even though the label claims its in the style of. used to be we called these imports anyway.

If it's someone I don't know then I mind my own business. If I spent my time correcting Joe Shmoe's inaccuracies I'd have much higher priorities to correct him on than accurately describing beer.

"I was going to call those ignorant assholes out, but I was in Brussels at the time so I thought I would cut them some slack."

So we are to assume that everyone in Belgium understands the proper method in English of turning nouns into adjectives?
