When to add oak chips to saison?

    I'm about to brew a saison with White's American Farmhouse Blend (so its a saison yeast blended w/brett).
    Just wondering when you think I should add the oak chips - immediately upon pitching or in 2 weeks?

    Also, do I need to put it in a weighted mesh bag so it sinks?

    Could probably add it after primary fermentation, the Brett can feed on part of the oak. I am sure either way would work though.
