I'm hit by this decision almost weekly:
Do I dig in my stash for beers to drink or do I seek out bombers or sixers to get me through the week?
I typically lean towards to latter only because I don't need multiple bombers of 11+% stuff on a work night.
    How about you?
What tips you one way or the other?

I've been diving into the cellar lately! Just been trying to go through some stuff so I can put some new beers
in the cellar! It's a vicious cycle for me, seems like I cant make a dent to my stash! Luckily for me my garage stays cool all year long even in the summer time!
I guess this is not much of an answer? Lol

I like to save the big stuff for the weekends (like you said no need for 11%+ on weekdays)

I buy when I have money and cellar dive when I'm broke

I am starting to notice that I'm the only fool on here with very little money yet still buys an excessive amount of beer

Cellar Dive when nothing local, new, or fresh that you're into is available. Usually there is fresh local stuff around but if Im about to buy a 6 pack of something pretty pedestrian I might as well open some Cantillon I already paid or traded for.

I usually go to the cellar when I open the fridge and find it devoid of fresh pale beer!

I usually buy way more than I cellar dive, which is why I am having storage issues. But just this past Saturday I did do a cellar purge of sorts and knocked out around ten or so bombers with friends. I am thinking of doing that more often.

Cellar dive every spring. Clear out stuff I don't want to age, make room for more summer style beers. Repeat in late summer for stout season.

Quick question: If one doesn't actually have a cellar, does one just store beers in the fridge or is there another method that is used?

Dark closet is the only other real common one I have seen.

You mean you don't have a spreadsheet for a boss that tells you when you can and cannot dive into the cellar?
