I'm about to make a trade. How much info is standard to to give and when? Thanks

    For me the standard is:

    Name
    Address
    Email
    Phone Number

EDIT: Also I normally give info after the trade is official and finalized (agreed thru the beer advocate trading section). Also remember there is no such thing as too much communication. Send a message confirming what you are sending and request your trading partner's info if you don't already have it. When they give you their info then you can send a message to them with your info.

Once I feel a trade is finalized I ask them if they want to do a trade request or do they want me to. Then I give them my shipping info and ask for theirs.

I let people know that I ship FedEx and do NOT ask for a signature request upon deliver unless they want one... And then I actually ASK them if they want a signature request. I let them know that it isn't needed for my end.

If you ask for an email address, then they get email updates any time there is any problem like a Shipping Exception... They have the opportunity of knowing sooner than if they just randomly check the shipping status.

I also try to let them know if there are any idiosyncrasies about shipping that I have noticed. For instance, when I ship from Boise to pretty much anywhere in New England, the online tracking info NEVER shows an update that it is scanned OUT of the Salt Lake hub. Sometimes it can go 4x days without being updated until it is scanned IN at the hub closest to their home.

    Hope this helps, Toby.

Including your phone number is important and some people leave that out. Not only is it really helpful to have on the shipping label, it's nice to have a direct line to your trade partner if you need to contact them and don't want to hope they'll log onto BA.
