I have 2002 through 2006, 2008 (in a 12oz) and 2011-2012 and am curious what could be out the pre-2002. If there are earlier vintages, are there any known bottles floating around? How hard would they be to score? I'm sure the 07, 09-10 would be relatively easy by comparison.

    Thanks for the insight!

    Cheers,
    Evan

The site says 2000 was the first release, but it might not have been bottled.

EDIT...no clue on the trade value, but will be paying attention to this thread.

I drank a 2003 about a month ago and it was pretty damn good. I was glad to see that it could hold up.

    Curious. I was extra'd an '05 recently which wasn't tasting great…

At this age, proper storage conditions really matter.

He got it as an extra, he didn't send it.

I received it, I didn't send it out. Maybe read my post again?
Agreed, 100%. I generally don't trade for vintage bottles as provenance really is prohibitively difficult to ascertain.

The pre-2006, I believe, were Lee Chase beers as opposed to Mitch Steele beers, though that doesn't necessarily mean there was a recipe change...though we opened a 2005 that was surprisingly near the top of everyone's favorites that night.

Agreed. I had an 05 recently that was drinking really nicely.
