When was the last time you had Stone IPA?

have a keg of it right now. great beer

 

What was the time? Sounds like a challenge

 

Before I moved out to Hawai'i. We don't get it here. It was decent though, if I remember correctly.

 

When I find it, it's just not as fresh as I would like; with Jai Alai so available and typically a couple of weeks old at the most I usually just pass on the Stone IPA. I ke
ep checking the dates on it when I see it though, just in case.
The last time I had it was when my parents came down to visit and we ate at a restaurant that had it on their list...too bad it was old and past it's prime. Haven't had it since.

 

Great brew but American 6ers in my neck of the woods are getting deep into the 20's$$, hard to pull the trigger.

 

Over a year. There is always something better on the same shelf.

 

August when it was on tap in Ontario for the first time.
Never think to grab a sixer when I'm Stateside because there are too many other options.
Great beer, though.

That's more like it.

 

I don't keep track, and those details usually don't stick in my memory.

 

Had a bottle in Laguna Beach in October. Less than two weeks old and it was a revelation how good that beer can be when it is that fresh.

 

several weeks ago. Picked up a few of them in a mix-a-six...good stuff !

 

Had it last in October. I think it's about time to try it again.

 

Lone Star in Allston used to have it on tap all the time. But I think it's been replaced by Smutty Finest Kind. A pretty even trade frankly. So, early this fall maybe for Stone.

 

A few months ago. It is a delicious beer.

 

Not a big fan of Stone IPA. A couple of weeks ago I saw bottled on dates of 10 days and I almost bought a six-pack just to have it because it was such a good bottled on date but I passed. It's everywhere out here, supermarkets, gas stations, liquor stores, bottle shops, bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, drug stores, Wal Mart.

 

It's been awhile...

Oh, must've been within the last 4 months?, has to.. Er, well anyway I feel like I should have a glass in front of me before I open my big mouth, I mean it's just so classic if that's a valid criticism? To me it falls in the same vein of those old school West coast IPAs the way Torpedo does, you appreciate it for what it is but you rarely ever catch yourself running down to the good liquor store because you're out.. Not saying it's necessarily a bad thing but power creep kills old timers, just look what happened with the original Ruination.
