So I've been patiently waiting for Columbus to start bottling this wonderful dipa. I keep hearing that they will start bottling bodhi this fall but no confirmation on that. I guess they are awaiting expansion of the brewery? Does anyone have any insight on this?
Bodhi being bottled feels like an urban legend at this point.. I'm sure someone else can touch on this subject better than me, but I know Columbus really wants to. I'm sure it comes down to not having the space or something like that. At least there's no shortage of Bodhi on-tap in the areas they distribute to..
Hopefully soon. My buddy was just there and talked to the folks at the brewery. Seems its a production problem. They can hardly meet the demand of bars and restaurants, so bottling would take away from that.
This gets brought up all the time (because we all really, really love this beer!) and I decided to ask Tony Codor (brewer at Columbus) about this. He told me, everyone at Columbus would like to make this happen but they need to expand before probably even considering bottling Bodhi. So....any rumors about it happening soon are most likely false.
It's been rumored to be "on the way" for at least 2 1/2 years that I know of.. like BB1313 said, I'm just glad that it's pretty readily available.
Right, at the Bodhi tasting they said, "either we can bottle it or keep in kegs for now". Being in Columbus - I'll take fresh kegs all day.
I have not been able to get on this band wagon yet. I've tried this beer three times or so now and just don't find it that great. I will still give it another shot though
