It's just my opinion.....not that big a deal to me what's number one or two or ten......

Just checked out the formula...Being that you have hundreds of beers that are a "100" and beers with 400 ratings competing with those that have 10,000 ratings....might be time to adjust those baseline numbers used in the formula...

Actually they were recently "adjusted" in that the original formula in use effectively just made up a pretty arbitrary choice for m. Now at least m is now referenced to the data set and based on data rather than just pulling a number out of the air.

Edit: Thing is that change demonstrates that the folks who run this site are willing to consider changes that improve the algorithm. So anything you can contribute to that is a way of improving the site to the benefit of us all. But the Bros won't make changes just because we like one way better than another. Needs to be a well-motivated reason.

Does that mean that unless one of your students was in the Masters and a candidate for the green jacket you weren't following it with any degree of interest.

Cause the TV folks and audiences certainly were.

If they aren't in contention it's still important to watch. And "care" and "interest" are different things to me. I care about my students. I'm interested in what's happening in certain events if I don't have any horses in the race, but I don't care who wins.... As long as it isn't Tiger.

Heady is unreal.. Absolutely perfectly made beer. I have had it over three different batches and it is so consistently great and fresh...

Love HT, as really, but imo, there's as good. Neshaminy Creek is there, Ju Ju, Dinner, Abrasive. Love each and every one and about half a dozen more.

How would the beer world change if Heady were dethroned by (insert beer)?...

I see lots of rants in this thread about this or that beer being better than Heady. I've been drinking a LOT of SOS, Second Fiddle, Focal Banger, Fair Maiden, Tribute and Heady over the past few months, as well as some lesser IPAs, and while it's pretty hard to say one is better than the other, the Heady I had last night just blew me away. And it seems to do that every time I crack one. The others are great too, so it's really hard to say HT is 'better', but it's just so smooth and easy to drink, while being complex and just damn delicious. I'm so glad I live close enough to get these beers with relatively little effort.

Wow didn't relaize this was a thread on who could say taste is subjective the most... everyone wins!

Heady was a trailblazer and I personally love it. But I hope people recognize that taste is subjective.

I liked Swish better than Heady. Swish's Aroma is glorious!

I agree with you, sos didn't really do anything for me flavor profile wise... I will say that it is way easier to get your hands on it now, it took mere days for me to locate it over the border of ct, but I don't even feel the need to go buy more

Never had HT, and I don't intend on waiting on any lines for it. With the abundance of great DIPA's I have easy access to, like DFH 90, Double Trouble, Chillwave, Double Jack, And not to mention the IPA's like Jai Alai, Flower Power, Lunch, etc. I'll try a can of HT once I vacation in Burlington this summer.
