Where are all you (us) post 50 BA's? We're the guys and gals who grew up with crappy beer as the only alternative, the ones who got tired of that and changed the situation. I started drinking imports in the 70's because they at least had some flavor, and after my first trip to Europe I started homebrewing because the beers I fell in love with were not accessible over here.

Some of us are napping, conserving our strength for the hopfest this weekend.

I'm 67, and I can remember my first beer; a Carling's Black Label in Cleveland. Today, I wish I could remember where I left my shoes.
    "Hey, Mabel! Black Label!"
Or, "Hey Mabel, get off the table, the quarter's for the beer."
My last beer, btw, last night, was a Ruthless Rye. Times are good.

As long as you can remember when Michelob was considered high class.

I may not be 50 but I have a fuzzy memory of being in my grandmother's bar at a young age and the old barflies mocking a guy for ordering a Michelob and trying to be "high class."

You might have better luck rounding the troops with a messenger pigeon service.

Don't make me start a "Where are all the middle-aged BAs at" thread. At 42, I identify a lot more with the 50+ crowd.

Michelob? That was for the Country Club types. Hell, growing up in the Steel Valley in the early '80's, we thought Little Kings, Mickey's, Stoney's and their local cousins (Rolling Rock, Iron City, ect.) were the top of the mark-what did we know?

One thing I do know, I wouldn't trade those memories for anything.

I'm not 50, but I remember that bad-beer time (of course I started drinking beer out of the baby bottle). I Collected beer cans as a tween, and I started homebrewing in '83 as a teenager.

I think there are a lot of BA folks in there 50s - a lot more are in their 40s. But A LOT are in there 20s living in their parents' basement.

I am generally grumpy and look down upon anyone a year or more younger than me. Can I play?

Edit: I am serious. Also, my response to many things actually is, "I am too old for this shit."
