Now that you mention it, I did read that in a thread a while ago. Still not too happy about it. But I think I'll survive.

 

Have you had the Summit Keller Pils yet? I bought a 12 pack this evening after work. (There's still 9 of 'em left in my 'fridge... ) Enjoyable summer beer! I have no idea what a Kellerbier is supposed to be, but I expect I'll be buying more of this before it disappears.

 

I looked yesterday but did not find any (but my local packie is not known for prompt package rotation.) A much-beloved malt liquor quenched my 80 degree-thirst.

This weekend I'll be sure to find some.

 

Are we talking King Cobra by chance? Guessing you didn't pull out that cellared bottle of Crazy Horse did you?

 

Wasn't Sam Adams Alpine Spring a kellerbier as well...that was one of my favorites from Boston Brewing..looking forward to trying this one

Nope, a tall can of HG800. I gave King Cobra many chances back in the day, but never road the Crazy Horse.

 

Indeed Shenanigans has less sorachi ace hops in the recipe this year and I think it's the best version yet. Plus hibiscus shenanigans at the tap room is incredible

 

yeah it's pretty good again..Castle danger Summer Crush is using that hop as well and achieved a similar flavor..only had one can so far but you can definitely identify that hop.

Had Summer Crush on tap at Castle Danger last summer and thought it was awful for some reason.....

Bought some cans of it recently and thought it was much, much better.
