#1 Tampa (especially if during winter), #2 Kansas City (Beer and BBQ!!), #3 Chicago (convenience).

Does anyone live in Detroit any longer? I believe 42% of all dwellings in the motor city are vacant or abandoned. Life is much better in the West. Grand Rapids FTW.

Absolutely Chicago. Central located. Plenty of great potential locations for the event to be held. The amenities for the visitors would be top notch with hotels and restaurants. Easy public transportation. Loads of great beer bars and brewpubs. Probably the best distribution in the country to snag bottles unavailable at home (3 Floyd's anyone?). Outside of the winter months the weather is pretty good.

Look forward to the decision. Cheers

I'm a west coast transplant to Chicago and have to say that an event here would be awesome.

    DC because:
    1) Nation's capital.
    2) A metro system that connects to the suburbs, which probably have a lot of craft beer fans.
    3) DC is much more walkable than Denver and most other cities.
    4) I live there.
    5) You can probably snag a Selfie with President Obama (or at least Vice President Biden) and maybe get him to hand over some samples of his homebrew.
    6) A decent emerging Beer scene including breweries from Virginia and Maryland.
    7) Whole bunch of different people from around the world live and work in DC. A Beer Advocate beerfest would be a great opportunity to share what we can do.
    8) SAVOR is too expensive and a cheaper beerfest that wasn't mediocre would be great.

The theme would be super historical-patriot-eagle AMERICA!!!

Missoula, MT! We have a great beer culture, a nice downtown area that fully supports big events, and the scenery is second to none. Also, I'm selfish and would love to see it happen.

    Why not help out Detroit?

Other than that I agree with Chicago but Des Moines might be a nice curveball.

...And Cleveland cause I'm selfish

Somewhere in the Great Lakes for sure not trying to be a homer but seems like a large portion of members are located in the area.

Specifically though Madison. It's an awesome city for a beer fest (ask anyone who attends Great taste of the midwest) and really close to New Glarus if you catch my drift. (Now I am being a homer)

    Second choice would be Chicago.

Edit: Almost forgot Lebanon, Kansas would be a good one because it's the closest city to the geographical center of the U.S.

Great facilities at the Embarcadero, convention center, multiple hotels, great public transportation, great airport, an entire county devoted to beer (almost as many breweries as Starbucks) and a downtown area (Gaslamp District) that thrives on the night life and specifically, great beer and great food. Not to mention the best weather in the USA

Beer Camp just left and it was a huge success.

Totally that one guy was lucky. Not Denver.

I say Santa Rosa Ca. If not let's get Detroit going.

Madison would be #1 for me. I could be wrong but I don't think New Glarus does any events outside of Wisconsin. Strong local scene, many great breweries within a 2 hour radius. Milwaukee, Chicago, Twin Cities, St. Louis and other areas are a days drive away.

    Milwaukee #2
    Chicago #3

Chicago is a cool town and relatively in the middle of the country, but so expensive. I'd recommend the Twin Cities for partially selfish and partially practical reasons. It has a rapidly growing brewing scene and you you can't go to a decent restaurant without an impressive beer list. It's a good central location with a ton of venues for a festival as well as non-beer entertainment options. Plus, well... it's cheaper than Chicago and is easier to get around.

That and it's close. Denver would be my other choice, but they already get GABF.

I vote for Charlotte, Raleigh, or Asheville NC. Maybe Myrtle Beach or Charleston SC. But not really cause those aren't really beer towns.

Asheville would be great - nestled in the mountains with breweries popping up everywhere.

I disagree with Chicago, it's not very centrally located and is very far north.

If we want central location, I think Kansas City MO is the answer.

Official geographic center of US is in Lebanon, Kansas. But who wants to go to podunk Kansas. No one. Actually it could be a lot of fun out there in the country. Is OKC an emerging beer city?

I think it would be a better idea to go to a smaller/emerging beer town in order to support their business more and help them grow. Chicago gets tons of money already

what about a smaller town that is looking for some growth. I would think Myrtle Beach, SC would be open to taking more tourism money. Pros: okay weather year round, they're no stranger to hosting larger events (neither is Nashville, TN), along the coast to those that prefer the beach and craft beer seems to be doing well in the Carolinas. possibly Charleston, SC too. I do not know how they are with hotels and public transportation.
Try to find a place to tag onto the beginning or end of. Like, go to wherever is hosting the US Open or PGA Championship.

San Antonio. We have every bit of the craft beer climate of Austin, that same climate is younger and fresher than Austin (generally considered THE craft beer city in Texas), almost three times the population of Austin and less crowded despite that.
San Antonio is under appreciated and full of beer fanatics that will sell your event out!

New Orleans, because well, to-go cups and all. Also, Avenue Pub is easily one of the best beer bars in the country, especially for sours.
