Where should BeerAdvocate host a fest?

    Since every BA thing has been on the east coast thus far, I say you take it to the coast where so may of the US craft pioneers are. Head to Cali, maybe San Fran?

    Another vote for Chicago. It's centrally located, great transportation system, growing (and awesome) beer scene and plenty of venues of varying sizes to accommodate any size festival.

    I'll jump on the Chicago bandwagon. Centrally located, 2+ hour flight from either the west coast or east coast, great beer and good scene, good public transportation..

    I vote Denver, and preferably towards the end of March. Sorry, I just really would love to combo this into a ski trip :slight_smile:. It's pretty mild in Denver around then (imo of course), so hanging out outside drinking beers could be pleasurable (if it needs to be outside).

    Otherwise, Chicago would probably be a wise choice. Plenty of reasons mentioned already. The beer camp event @ Navy Pier this Sunday should be a good indication of how a beer fest would do in the Chi.

    Chicago or St. Louis.

    St. Louis for Side Project, Perennial, and 4 hands and it's central location.

    Chicago because the city is awesome.

    At my house.

    I would say Austin, but I have zero faith that the TABC would allow it to run the way it should. So I would say Vegas second.

    Mineola would be great since I live there. Black Sheep Ale House would certainly participate. There are about 15 breweries here on Long Island - not counting Queens or Brooklyn - just Nassau and Suffolk counties.

    Yonkers? or White Plains? could be a spot in Westchester county. Doesn't Peekskill have a beer fest outdoors? It would suck for rain to ruin everything. Stamford, CT is another NYC area idea but.... it's in New England unless you believe Christopher Hughes. Jersey City, NJ along the water is a spot in northern NJ.

    Top Tier IMO and in order of preference (i.e. ready made convention cities): Orlando, Dallas, San Diego, Chicago, Denver
    Sleepers IMO and in order of preference (cities that are just as capable but less thought of): Indianapolis (my personal favorite overall), Kansas City, Minneapolis, Portland

    You want a smaller city, then I highly recommend going with Richmond, VA. Just an AWESOME beer scene developing there with so many places to do events. I think that that would make for one hell of a fest.
