I am staying just over the river from Cinci in KY and am from NC. I am looking to find what beers that are unavailable to me in NC. I know it may be a stretch to expect that BCBS or KH are sitting on a shelf somewhere, but I thought I would ask. Any suggestions for GI, FFF, etc. beers that are in season that I should take back with me?

GI and FFF are available in OH, but BCBS is not available in OH, its above the 12% cap. The only FFF beers are the bombers, and thats not exactly the easiest thing to obtain. I had to IP trade with someone who visited IN.

As for the others, grab as much of the GI sisters (Sofie, Matilda, Fleur, etc) as you can. Trust me, people love them down here. Other than that, thats it. We get more than they do down here.

Well you wont find BCBS or KH cause its all long gone, but if it was in season, you wouldn't find it in Ohio since they have an abv cap of 12%. Your best bet is to check out Party Source in Bellevue, KY and DEPs in Ft. Thomas, KY. There isnt much in Cinci Proper, but Dutch's in Hyde Park and Jungle Jims in Fairfield are great.

I usually just refer to the sisters to refer to any woman named Belgian beer put out by GI. I know this leaves out PEre Jacques, but im ok with that. not a huge fan of it anyway.

Also, in Ohio, Jungle Jim's up Route 4 from Cincy is great. And in NKY, Party Town in Florence is tremendous. If you go, ask for anything you don't see, they keep some stuff in the back.

    Both of these have FFF.

A bit south of you is another good bottle shop called Party Town in Florence. They have an 18 tap growler station that is pretty great. I'd try and pick up some Rivertown Lambic while in town, Party Source in Bellevue had a few bottles left when I was there recently, they also have their own brand Quaff Brothers which is good as well.

This. I got a couple bottles of BCBS from Party Town last month. They are my favorite beer store in the area.

If you want something other than FFF bombers...there's a liquor store in West Harrison (West Side Liquor-105 S State St)...I've bought 6pks of Gumballhead there and I know they have some other year round 6ers there too.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. I lucked out and got a hotel right across from Party Town. The Party Source was sweet too.
