    Hola amigos.

I am here in lovely Buenos Aires for the next week and I am looking for places to go.

I went last night to a bar called "On Tap" in Palermo. I walk in and they have a huge "Bear Republic" banner on the wall, and all of their tap handles are from the U.S., including Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, Firestone Walker Union Jack, etc...

But get this: those aren't what they are actually serving!! They have the list on the chalkboard for each numbered tap and they are all beers from local breweries. Nothing wrong with that, and I had a couple of decent IPAs. But I still can't get over having the wrong tap handles on the beers. United States lawyers would have a field day!!

Anyway, any suggestions on where I should go?

    Thanks.

Well, if you want the industrialized craft beer go to Antares... The beer's pretty good, but like the Sierra Nevadas of the world, they depend more on the industrial processing of beer than the human element.

If you're looking for the human element, try Hops Cerveza Artesanal (Castillo 422 Villa Crespo) They feature smaller brewers in the city. Always something new on tap and I'm pretty sure there's probably some greasy Yankee lawyers that could sue them for having a collection of Chinese crafted pub art on the wall.

Cervelar has 4 locations...Palermo, Belgrano, Elcano and Caballito. Good for beer and a lamb burger!!

    Cheers,
