    Hope to see you while you're here. Should consider a metro ride to downtown to hit Modern Times, HPB, Mikkellar

    Pasadena is not taco mecca, but they do have a Yuca's now. cochinita pibil. there's also a King Taco and La Estrella

    Hermosillo (Highland Park Brewery) isn't that far from Pas and you can walk down the block for Huarache Azteca

    I work in Pasadena, Arturo's tacos on Fair Oaks near Del Mar is pretty good but only open at night. Total Wine on Colorado near Lake won't have the top-level local rarities but they have plenty to keep you refreshed on your trip. But if you have the time you really should go to Highland Park Brewery in Highland Park or take the Gold Line train to the Chinatown taproom
