The Beer Shoppe is a good bottle shop and will have some good stuff on tap. But my favorite is Bale Breaker. Fairly new brewery right out in the middle of the hop fields. It's fantastic.

Beer Shoppe and Bale Breaker. Head out of town 20 miles or so and have lunch and beers at Snipes Mountain in Sunnyside.

But yeah, Bale Breaker is amazing.

I've never been to Bale Breaker but I wish i had a reason to drive 3 hours to Yakima so I could check it out.

Bale breaker is delicious. They only have hoppy beers (pale ale, IPA and IIPA when I was there), but they are well done and yummy.

Snipes is also worth the trip (esp if they've got any sours on).

    cheers

Bale Breaker is reason enough. I drove over to Yakima from Seattle this past July for that sole reason.

Bale Breaker is your reason. Anything else you do is a bonus.

Red Peak is worth the drive out of Yakima as well.

Someone forgot the first rule of Red Peak Club.

You do not talk about Red Peak.

I had a Double Bubba yesterday and it was very good. What's the best place to get Bale Breaker cans outside of the brewery, and are they dated? I'll be in Yakima Monday, but the taproom is closed that day.

The Beer Shoppe has 6-packs of Field 41 and Topcutter.

Thanks! That was my plan. Anyone know if the cans are marked with any indication of date?

You've gotta check out Bale Breaker for sure. If you have time you could go to Yakima Craft Brewing as well. Their beers are solid, I especially like Twin Stag Scottish.

To answer my own question from above, the six packs have a sticker on them with a date. I've been drinking a can or two every night, which I picked up at The Beer Shoppe, and Bale Breaker has blown my mind. World class hops for sure.
