Where to stay when visiting Cigar City?

    Howard Johnson is really close, so I'm leaning towards them, but is it worthwhile to stay a little further like Sheraton or Hilton?

    I'm going to be no help since I don't stay at hotels in that area or live close enough to know them well, but when are you coming into town?

    We always stay at the Hilton (AirportWestshore) for CCB events. You can see the hotel from the brewery - stumbling distance away. It might cost a few more dollars, but it's a nice hotel and you can't beat the location.

    I stayed at the Extended Stay America once. It's about 1/2 mile from the brewery and cheaper, but I found it to be a little sketchy.

    I booked Extended Stay, thanks for the recommendation. It's close, it's cheap, and the pictures look good.

    I've always had good luck with the Courtyard Marriott on Cypress. Very close & a nice place to stay.

    Hilton without a doubt. I typically cash in miles. Also they have a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up, even though it is what, 1/4 of a mile away?

    I know you booked already, but for what it's worth we always book the DoubleTree near the brewery. Best price to distance ratio if we book far enough in advance.
