Chicago BA here. I'm looking for three local/regional IPAs to bring as a gift for my father and brother-in-law who live in Texas. Looking to buy 22oz bottles in order to share.

If you were to obtain three gift IPAs, which ones would they be?

Any 3 Floyds, Revolution, Pipeworks, or Half Acre that you can get. All solid.

If you're limiting to bombers, you'll probably mostly be looking at DIPA/IIPA, as I think most of the regular IPAs are 6 pack/4 pack beers. Try to grab one of the Pipeworks ones (Ninja vs. Unicorn, Unicorn Galaxy, etc) and 3 Floyds Dreadnaught or Arctic Panzer Wolf. Maybe Revolution Double Fist? I don't know what Half Acre bombers are on the shelf right now, and thinking about the Michigan and Wisconsin breweries that are distributed here I'm not coming up with anything in bombers that I would recommend over the local Chicago-area stuff.

Dreadnaught for sure and all the other ones I'd select are both 12oz and out of season anyways.

Pipe works citra ninja, FFF rye de tiger, and dreadnaught if you're going with the 22 oz format.

Thanks everyone. I've been a bit out of the loop on large-format IPA/DIPAs. I picked up Unicorn Galaxy at Binny's, and will try to track down Arctic Panzer, Dreadnaught, or another Pipeworks if I see it.
