last time i ordered tried to order beers but kept picking ones that had blown. the bartender was so grumpy about it ugh. i know how hard it is to be nice answering the same questions all day long but just cross it off the menu if it makes you so mad!

For whoever said it above, the restaurant-side table service @ BP Miramar has always been fantastic for us. Also, if they could kindly jar up the port reduction that goes on the duck nachos so that I can drink it by the pintfull, that'd be dandy.

Granted it may be based on a small sample size, but I never got grumpy behavior there. Either the people were very nice and helpful, or were sorry they couldn't answer my question but were nice about it. Now granted, I usually was hitting places in the early to mid afternoon, so maybe they were in better frames of mind.

The last time I was at the Miramar Mother Ship they got me the wrong beer (a Calm Before The Storm instead of a Commodore - which I ended up liking better than what I wanted), and gave it to me for free.

At which location(s) are they doing crowlers? And is it any beer on tap or only limited selections?

Little Italy is closer to all the touristy stuff like: Gaslamp District, Embarcadcero which has the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum and Maritime Museum, Balboa Park, SD Zoo and very close to Airport. Also, Embarcadero has the Coronado/SD ferry which drops you off just blocks away from Coronado Brewing Co.

I hope it's not too rude to say neither

It's a little rude as clearly there is intent to visit BP given the OP, but even moreso just confusing since there are 4 locations.

I've only been to the Little Italy one once, but thought it was awesome. Good food (fish tacos were good), amazing selection (bunch of Little Italy only options), and tons of to-go bottles available.

The one thing I think is lame there is how the line starts right in the middle of the place by the entry, so if you're trying to get from one side to the other the line completely blocks the two sections

I was at the Little Italy location during Comic Con, and the service was great. I sat at the bar and was immediately helped by Tristan (I hope that I remember his name correctly, it did start with a T) and he was friendly and let me know what were the better ones. I had a few flights of all the R&D beers they had. Didn't get food, because I had just eaten a bit before while I was at Modern Times. It was a little bit busy for being 2PM on a Wednesday, but, that can't really be a complaint against the place.

I've been looking for you at the bar on Thursday the past few weeks. You make a solid point though, sitting at the bar or ordering from the bar is the best way to go, ESPECIALLY if it's busy. The rest of the tasting room is great to sit in if you just plan on going to the bar to order food/drinks.

We went last thursday but couldn't get there last night. Went really hard in the gym and after having to walk up the hill to my car (a whole 50ft, I know..super far) I could only stumble into Legacy.

This next thursday though returning to ballast, I'll hit you up before then.

I haven't been to BP Little Italy in awhile, but I went a couple nights ago. The place is still as crowded as ever it seems, but it's never too hard to order a drink or food. Remember, there are THREE LINES to order drinks from. So if you walk in and the center line is mobbed, look left or right and move to another line. It is sometimes a little difficult finding a place to sit and eat though.

They had a ton of beer on draft (Core and R&D) which wasn't always the case, so that's good to see. Also, I forgot how awesome the burger was and the parmesan truffle fires were. Some of the other food options were just OK, but I think that burger and fries are fantastic.

I haven't had an issue with the beertenders there. Some are better than others, but usually they're swamped and just trying to get through the line. The times it has been slow, I've talked with them and they were certainly friendly.

Also, if BP Little Italy is stagnant, go to Bottle Craft across the street. Great tap list, bottles to go, and friendly staff.

Also worth noting that, if you're just going to drink, the Home Brew Mart location has seriously upped their game on the tap list. You can see it live by scrolling to their location on this page and clicking on the What's on Tap link.
