Which beer has surprised you the most?

Hell or High Watermelon Wheat Beer! It gets crapped on a lot... I think it's fantastic and didn't expect it to be good!

Don't like anything else I've had from either brewery, but those two are pretty damn good.

 

I'll have to check my tasting notes later and see what beer I've had has the highest IPSU (international positive surprise units)

 

I guess if beer were The Matrix I'm still searching for The One! Never really been blown away by anything yet. But I'm new so I'll give it time.

Anchor Steam, never saw a common/steam beer and decided to risk it. Glad I did.

 

Saranac White IPA because it was much higher quality then a lot of other Saranac beers and that surprised me.

 

Trinity Red Swingline, didn't expect much but dam, I loved it.

 

My homebrewed Kolsch. I f'ed that recipe up 6 ways from Sunday and it still turned out enjoyable.

Sam Adams Double Agent IPL is fantastic and not just par for the course for the type of brewery they are (not a shot at Sam's, I like them a lot for what they do for the craft industry)
