Cigar City stouts have this amazing "black hole" appearance that are darker than any stouts I've ever seen. Moreover, the characteristic dark chocolate bite that is found in each variant kind of marks a house profile to it.

Hunahpu, Marshal Zhukov, and Moat Water are the only ones I've had and each have these elements to them.

Best stouts by BA rAvg = Toppling Goliath.

I think the rAvgs go: KBBS = 4.89 and Mornin' Delight 4.80.

Total homerism, but I'll have to go for Cigar City. No one nails that huge mouthfeel like them.

If Prairie puts out a few more stouts on the level that Bomb is at, there might be a contender to the crown.

These are my top 3 as well. Evil twin might be the best for me, but they are too expensive. Give me founders for the price and availability.

I live in drove doen from Jacksonville today to pick up some El Catador bottles and they had it on Nitro and and Co2 and it was phenomenal. I got a growler and cracked it when I got hone and that's when this thread was born. I think I about to pour the last now. Cheers

founders is definitely up there with stouts, in terms of availability and just being world class across the board. i think founders will definitely release another stout for the backstage series.

Goose Island, pretty much based upon BCBS alone. The variants have been very hit-or-miss for me, but a well-aged keg of BCBS (or bottle, for that matter) is pure magic, plain and simple.
