    Worst labels ever:

The bottles look completely different, by the way:

Not much better, I know, but those cans are pathetic. They look like they were designed by a stoned preteen.

The way I look at it is, if you put the time and effort into your beer, shouldn't your label be reflective of that effort. Putting a cheap, poorly designed label on your beer seems like a disservice to yourself.

Latitude 33, Boulder, and Knee Deep labels need work IMHO.

Another vote for this. Apologies if I ruined anyone's dinner.

Alpine's labels are kinda kitschy to be totally honest. Iconic perhaps but they look like they were made in a hurry and cheaply.

Pork Slap was the first can that came to mind.

And their logo/mascot is HORRIBLE. I've always thought Smutty really needs an entire branding overhaul.....they really do.

Nah. The Smutty Seal is solid. It's true Bouncy House was a bad idea, but the rest of their labels are good. The best is Finestkind. Love the clean Helvetica name, and that it's not slick or trying too hard. I got to meet Paul (or was it Cy?) at the American Craft Beer Fest a few years back.

This might seem like a small thing but why does Lawsons still use the old cheesy holders for their 4 packs rather than the new snap holders that everyone else is using ? I like being able to pick up a 4 pack easily and without worrying about the beers falling out and they are re useable for making up my own 4 packs for trades etc. At $16 a 4 pack they can afford to step up.

Naw, I'm a sucker for a cute animal. The first brewery that puts Otters on their labels is gonna make a killing.

When I saw that some of the BA stouts were as highly rated as they are I was shocked. Because every time I saw them in the bottle shop for years I just assumed it had to suck due to the label.

Right. But even their non-BA stouts are some of the best I've ever had, which preferentially I lean more towards over BA anyway.

Is there room on the bandwagon for me to hate on the Green Flash labels?

Frankly, I thought the older ones were far better: more distinctive and easier to spot on a crowded shelf than the new ones.

Finest kind is arguably my favorite beer label. Doesnt hurt that the guy on the right looks just like how my grandpa did suspenders and all. If they ever revamp the label I hope they keep the picture

My number one choice is Stillwater....NO continuity between labels...and those god-awful labels for 'vacuum'...'stereo'...and 'surround'...What the hell does 'vacuum' have to do with beer???

Wow, totally disagree. I like some of their beers, but hate most of their labels. Finest Kind is "ok", but I would not cry at all if they changed it.

Terrible too. How can you all love their labels? Wow, I don't get it.

Yeah, I don't want cute animals on my labels, my opinion.

I like the fact that their labels and branding give you a sense of place, and of the people, of their home. So many labels could be anywhere, anything. Just generic and cold. Does, for example, Surly's branding give you any sense of the people who made the beer, or the place it was made? Could be Minnesota, could be Cali, could be Georgia, ya just don't know.
