You can get BOMB! with westbrook and terrapin. I have done it, and possibly a darklord also. I managed to snag a dl '12 for a mexican cake, and huna. Parabola is the same, pretty easy to score one with westbrook, ccb, jester, and terrapin.

Its just all about who you know, and what the person is looking for. I traded 4 '13 Wake n bakes, and a 6 pack of gose+ some locals for a couple bible belts, a few bombs, and noir.

Got some updates and more questions. I have acquired the following since posting:

    Prairie Bomb
    Parabola (friend got it)
    Abyss
Darkness (have a line on one via a trader going to Darkness Day)

What would it take to get the following and can anyone give me ideas on when they are released (both time of year and frequency)? Seem to be having no luck with them. BCBCS and Dark Lord are definitely top wants, anything else would be nice to have.

BCBCS (Don't even need a 4 pack, just one bottle is fine)
Dark Lord (How limited is this one, really want to try it
    Event Horizon
    Speedway
    Vietnamese Speedway
    BB Speedway
    CW16
    Abraxxas

Al I believe they do make a RIS or could be an Imperial Porter, but I believe it is/was brewery only, just remember reading about it or seeing it somewhere.. but agree..

Speedway shouldn't be that hard to get, it sees decent distribution and is in NC now (though only in the Triangle, so your trip to Asheville won't do it for you).

Event Horizon should be easy to get, but it doesn't release until November. I have a bottle or two at home from last release but not sending those out. However, if you're still looking for Event Horizon in November (end of November more than likely), let me know. I'm in Hickory so getting it is dead easy.

This is a good thread! I'm also in AL so it's helpful as someone who is very new to trading(working on my first 3 right now). Westbrook probably pulls the biggest weight as far as things we get. Locals just need time to get noticed and they will help as others have said. Especially the BA Laika variants that come out, and some of Blue Pants BA stuff is solid.

As for the Event Horizion I'd call Chris at Peabodys in Boone, he always has cool stuff stashed. Hes a legal shipper too, and you won't have to box up a thing, right to your front door.

Agreed on WB. Need to get to Huntsville and get some Laika BA variants, I think I bought the last two in Bham! Terrapin is also a good one for states that don't get it, the IPP release has drawn lots of attention but good luck getting a lot of it. I got one bottle and even that was hard.

You must have gotten some ones from last year? I didn't think they had put out the Laika variants yet and that they show up in the next month or two. We haven't gotten any in Tuscaloosa yet since last year. Also it was easy getting the IPPP down here. There were still quite a few bottles left on Friday when I went out and I had already gotten 3 of them. So it depends on location! I'm hoping to find some Laika stuff in Bham when I go up today though. I'm waiting more for the other Terrapin reserve releases this year though, they sound much better.

Yes the Laika was from last year at an obscure bottle shop in town. I will be getting more of it this year, it is solid. I sent you a message, let me know.

What is the obscure bottle shop you went to?

I have a bunch of CW16, I guarantee I can get you into that if someone hasn't already. BM me and we can chat.

If you're looking to try CW16, I'd seek it out now. It's still reasonably obtainable, but is the one brew on your list that will definitely never be made again. (CW17 may perhaps turn out to be very similar, but anyone who's tried both CW16 and Fifteen can tell you that Central Waters anniversary brews can differ significantly from year to year.)
